Complete Street Implementing Tools Assessment
A special presentation meeting was held Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 3:30 p.m. in the BMPO Conference Room. The Complete Street Implementing Tools Assessment document review was presented by Chris Danely of Vitruvian Planning, Boise, Idaho.
BMPO contracted with Chris to gauge current city plans and policies for alignment with the goals of enacting complete street policies. The project consisted of an analysis of adopted planning documents, specifically how they pertain to transportation and land use. Analyzed documents included city comprehensive plan, BMPO transportation plan and bicycle/pedestrian plan. City code specific to street design was also evaluated to determine cohesion with the concepts and goals for the complete street policy.
